Journalist Writing For National Newspapers And Magazines

Yorkshire PorkGilli has written features for national newspapers, food magazines and tourism and travel guides. 

Starting with the South Wales Echo, where she wrote a food page on Saturdays called ‘Cook It’ Gilli then moved to the sister paper, The Western Mail where she wrote a food page for a couple of years. During this time, Gilli produced and edited a 16 page food colour supplement which went out fortnightly to over 850,000 readers in the regional newspapers of Thomsons Regional Press.

Following this, Gilli created and edited the Taste of Wales magazine for three years, aimed at the food industry in Wales and she also contributes to numerous magazines – everything from Taste to Country Living. She was also the regular food writer for the Big Issue Cymru.

When she lived in Cyprus Gilli wrote a weekly page for The Lion newspaper and her articles on Cyprus food and cooking appeared regularly in the inflight magazine for Cyprus Air.  The Cyprus tourism office also commissioned Gilli to prepare and write a colour pamphlet about the food and wines of Cyprus. 

Country Living, taste mafazine and oraganic are some of the national magazines to which Gilli has contributed.

Since living in Yorkshire Gilli has written for ‘’Tum and Tipple’ and writes regularly for The Country Landowner and Business Magazine. 

Gilli has written 10 cookery books and 3 eating out guides to her name.
