Event Organiser
A natural organiser, Gilli has created and run events ranging from cultural exchanges in Germany to the St David’s Food Fair in Cardiff’s St David’s Hall. This latter event showcased 45 of the best food producers in Wales, together with cookery demonstrations and competitions for aspiring chef.
In 1998 Gilli took a team to the World Travel Fair in Utrecht where she hosted a stand of Welsh foods, produced Welsh delicacies and provided cookery demonstrations.
During the Rugby World Cup held in Cardiff in 1999 Gilli served Welsh food to the crowds to give them a taste of Wales.
When the European Union was hosted by the Uk, a summit was held in Cardiff, and Gilli brought a range of food producers to the capital to exhibit their wares to the delegates. She also set up a feast of good local foods as a celebration to mark the end of the event.
For the past two years Gilli has masterminded the Crayke village Gala with events for all ages offering all the fun of the fair.
