Gilli's new series, under the title 'I'd Rather Be ... Cookbooks', includes 'I'd Rather Be Playing Golf Cookbook' (2009), 'I'd Rather Be Sailing Cookbook' and 'I'd Rather Be Eating Local Produce in Yorkshire Cookbook'. Watch out for more under this catchy title.
Better known perhaps, are Gilli’s books on Welsh food: Lamb, Leeks and Laverbread; Tastes of Wales which accompanied her TV series of the same name: Down to Earth and A Taste of Wales; The Very Best Flavours of Wales and Welsh Calendar Cookbook which was published by Y Lolfa in 2007.
Celtic Cuisine, a collection of recipes from all the Celtic countries, was published by Graffeg in 2008.
While living in Wales Gilli compiled and edited 3 books on Eating Out in Wales, published by the Western Mail. She was also commissioned to write on Welsh food for publications such as Taste Magazine, Country Living and British Food Finds, which won the Andre Simon Memorial Award in 1987.Gilli also contributed to 2 Japanese cookbooks.
From her stay in Cyprus, Gilli researched and wrote a book about the cuisine and culinary culture of the island, which is available in UK and Cyprus, published by Topline under the title, A Taste of Cyprus.
The Joy of Organic Cookery was published by Metro in 2002 and is based on Gilli’s knowledge of organic foods. The recipes are straightforward and very tasty, reflecting the quality of the ingredients.
